Loyd Grossman - reinventing history in the 18th century

Loyd Grossman has generously agreed to give a lecture to support Art Fund and Gainsborough's House gallery project. Proceeds with be split equally.

The talk is entitled Reinventing history in the 18th century. The 18th century was an age of multiple revolutions - economic, social and political, and a time in which the public hunger for explanation created a new way of writing history.

Loyd Grossman is a broadcaster, author, gastronome and musician. His lifelong interest in history the arts and heritage has involved him in numerous national organisations and he is currently President of NADFAS.

The lecture will be held in St Peter's Church set on the Market Hill which dominates the centre of Sudbury. This Grade 1 listed building completed in c1450 is now in the care of The Churches Conservation Trust.

This event has been organised by the Suffolk Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
