The World of Wool at Tuckers Hall
Talk | Tuckers Hall
Thursday 21 September 2017 - 16:00 until 18:00
It doesn't look like this now, but there has been a Tuckers Hall in Fore Street ever since the Exeter Guild of Weavers, Fullers and Shearmen was given a plot of land in 1471 and used their new building to regulate the wool trade, which was the source of prosperity for Exeter and the rest of Devon until the 18th century.
Our sponsors Charles Stanley are kindly hosting an event when the Exeter Beadle will tell us all about the Hall and the Guild.
Closing date: August 21st
This event has been organised by the Devon Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
