Historic Frome Walk

Guided Tour | The Round Tower

Sunday 17 September 2017 - 14:15 until 17:00

Alastair MacLeay and Margery Hyde of the Frome Society will lead this historic walk. It will start at the spectacular Blue House, a school built in the 1720s, and then moves on to the Medieval quarter, including Cheap Street, Willow Vale, Gentle Street and Shepherds Barton, a remarkable survival of domestic housing from the 17th and 18th century. The walk ends at Rook Lane Chapel circa 1707 where a short talk about the history and regeneration of this historic building will be given by Richard Page. The Chapel is close to the car park.

Please note that this walk is not suitable for those with restricted mobility as the walk will include some uphill sections.

This event has been organised by the Bristol and Bath Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
