Nature is Imagination Itself
Talk | Messums Wiltshire
Wednesday 13 September 2017 - 18:00 until 20:00
Jane Hall, a fine artist who employs stitch, is one of an elite endorsed by the Embroiderer’s Guild and was commissioned by the Royal Entomological Society to record 72 native species of butterflies. In a unique combination of art, photography and prose, Jane’s talk intertwines her work as an artist with the worlds of nature and imagination that inspire it and will provide an informative insight into the methods she uses to create her delicate, sculptural fine art embroideries. The talk takes place at Messums Wiltshire, a 13th Century Monastic Tithe Barn . There will be a chance to see examples of her work, the current exhibition and explore the barn over a drink (pay bar).
This event has been organised by the Wiltshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
