Talk | St Peter's Church

Thursday 7 September 2017 - 18:30 until 20:00

David Davies, until 2016 organist and acting director of music at Exeter Cathedral, is one of Britain’s foremost organists, with an international reputation as a solo performer.

He will talk about the evolution of organ music in the Church of England, with reference to art, liturgy and the Reformation.

David will illustrate his talk by performing on the unique organ at St Peters, which has a Willis mechanism and a case built by Christian Smith in 1696.
