Canaletto and the Art of Venice Sold Out

Visit and Talk | The Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace

Thursday 7 September 2017 - 11:00 until 13:00

The Royal Collection contains the world's finest group of paintings, drawings and prints by Canaletto (1697-1768). A private introductory talk by a gallery expert, in the Redgrave Room, is followed by time to view this spectacular exhibition. Canaletto's greatest works are shown alongside works by Sebastiano and Marco Ricci, Francesco Zuccarelli, Rosalba Carriera, Pietro Longhi and Giovanni Battista Piazzetta. The delights of Venice are explored, from the splendours of the Grand Canal and St Mark's Square to its festivals, theatre and masked carnival, bringing the irresistible allure of the most beautiful city in the world to The Queen's Gallery.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
