Gilly Langton, jeweller

Visit | Gill Langton

Saturday 2 September 2017 - 11:00 until 15:00

Gilly Langton studied silversmithing and jewellery at Loughborough College of Art and Design, beginning her jewellery practice in 1997. Blending her love of colour and craftsmanship of silver, she creates statement jewellery from her Plockton workshop in the Scottish Highlands.

The stunning coastline and nautical architecture is the inspiration behind her sterling silver and hand-dyed elastic jewellery. Minimalist in design, her elegant, crisp silver pieces and renowned elastic statement jewellery can be found in the collections of The National Galleries of Scotland, Design Museum and the Museum of Arts and Design, New York amongst others.

Due to limited space, numbers will be restricted so please book early. The party will be split into two groups, the first visiting the studio at 11am, the second at 2pm with a break for lunch between the two visits.

This event has been organised by the Highlands Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
