Bridehead and Puncknowle Old Rectory

Visit | The Old Rectory

Wednesday 9 August 2017 - 12:15 until 16:00

Bridehead, near Dorchester, lies at the valley-head of the River Bride. It is the 'Tudor Gothic' house of Sir Philip Williams whose ancestors bought the estate in 1797. Bridehead recently featured in the TV series 'Broadchurch'.

Before visiting Bridehead the group will meet at The Old Rectory at Puncknowle, in the Bride Valley, where there will be the opportunity to view the British pictures and sculptures within and have a drink with the owners.

People are welcome to picnic in the Old Rectory Garden or head to the Puncknowle pub for lunch.

This event has been organised by the Dorset Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
