Twentieth Century Sculptures in Leeds

Guided Tour | University of Leeds

Kathryn Barnes will lead a guided tour of 'Kenneth Armitage: Sculpture and Drawings of the 1950's' at the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery, Leeds University. A fascinating exhibition of some of Armitage's important works from this decade. After this there will be time for a self-guided look at the gallery's permanent collection, which includes work by Stanley Spencer, Duncan Grant and Roger Fry. Kathryn will then lead a walk round Leeds University campus to look at a selection of its impressive on-site sculpture; this includes works by Barbara Hepworth, Hubert Dalwood and Quentin Bell.

Meet at the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery based in the Parkinson Building of Leeds University (approx. 25 mins walk from Leeds Station)

This event has been organised by the South Yorkshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
