Visit to Gordon Castle Walled Garden

Talk and Tour | Gordon Castle Walled garden

Friday 14 July 2017 - 12:00 until 15:30

We are going to revisit this wonderful walled garden at a time when it will have many flowers in full bloom. The eight acre walled garden dates back to 1803. After a period of neglect it is being restored and re-designed my Arne Maynard and is now in its fourth year of development, driven by the enthusiasm and hard work of the owners, gardeners and volunteers.

The garden supplies the café with fresh fruit and vegetables and salad ingredients.

We will begin the event with a light lunch in the café before being guided around the garden to enjoy the smells and sights.

After the visit, as well as enjoying tea or coffee and a scone, you may wish to browse the little shop which will include vegetables and plants as well as Gordon Castle’s own gin and cider made in whisky casks.

This event has been organised by the Highlands Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
