Special Event | Address on booking

Wednesday 7 June 2017 - 19:00 until 22:00

Sean Borodale works as an artist and poet. His debut "Bee Journal" (Jonathan Cape 2012) was nominated for the TS Eliot Prize and Costa Book Awards for poetry. His second collection 'Human Work' was Observer Poetry Book of the Month. In 2014 he was selected as one of twenty Next Generation Poets by the Poetry Book Society, a once in a decade accolade. His 372p topographical poem "Notes for an Atlas" written whilst walking around London was directed by Mark Rylance as 'Monument for a Witness' a performance spanning 8 nights at Southbank's Festival Hall. He has held fellowships and residencies at the Wordsworth Trust, Trinity College Cambridge, Trinity College Dublin, the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, the Miro Foundation and most recently at the Bluecoat, Liverpool where he has been artist-writer in residence,

Sean will talk about his work and read excerpts from his publications. Perhaps we may participate in his next project to record pages from James Joyce's Ulysses!
