Overnight Trip | Dumfries House

Tuesday 6 June 2017 - 08:00 until 17:00

Travelling by coach from Harrogate and Ripon via Mertoun House on the Tweed, home of the 7th Duke of Sutherland. A curator from the National Gallery of Scotland will take thr group around the Sutherland's very special and private art collection. Stay at Dumfries House Lodge for two nights.

Day two, travel to Glasgow for a guided tour of the medieval Provand's Lordship, then on to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, housing one of Europe's great art collections. Dine in style in the Great Stewards dining room in Dumfries House (black tie).

On day three, have a guided tour of Dumfries House and grounds before departure after lunch.

This event has been organised by the North Yorkshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
