Bendor Grosvenor - Jacobite portraits

Talk | Traquair House

Tuesday 6 June 2017 - 06:30 until 20:30

Art Historian Bendor Grosvenor of BBC Fake or Fortune is giving a talk on why portraiture was so important to the Jacobites, and will focus in particular on his discovery of a lost portrait by Allan Ramsay, which now hangs in the National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh.

Given the close links between the Prince and Traquair this will be a special Jacobite evening!

This event has been organised by the Borders Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
