Stanway House - private visit

Guided Tour | Stanway House

Thursday 18 May 2017 - 14:00 until 17:00

This will be a private visit to Stanway House, an outstanding Jacobean manor house, owned by Tewkesbury Abbey for 800 years then for 500 years by the Tracy family and their descendants, the Earls of Wemyss, who still live there. In addition to guided tours of the house there will be a special chance to see the single-jet fountain, which reaches a spectacular height of 300 feet! The gardens and grounds will also be open for exploration, including the jewel-like Gatehouse, church, the 14th century Tithe Barn and the 18th century water-garden, originally designed by Charles Bridgeman, which has recently been extensively restored.

Restricted access - please let us know if assistance will be needed.

This event has been organised by the Worcestershire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
