Coach Visit | Bedale and other locations

Travel by coach to West Tanfield for a visit to the semi-ruined Marmion Gatehouse and a detailed exploration of St Nicholas’s church which is noted for its superb alabaster funerary monuments of the Marmion family. Continue to St Michael, Well, another church with an interesting family monument, and then to Snape Chapel in the 15th century Snape Castle.

There will be free time for lunch in one of the many cafés and pubs in Bedale before visiting the impressive church of St Gregory at the north end of the town and then moving on to the remote St Mary, Hornby. The tour will conclude at St Patrick’s church in Patrick Brompton.

Coach pick-ups: York 9am / Thirsk 9:45am.

Return: Thirsk 5:15pm / York 6pm.
