Architectural treasures in Northampton and Brixworth - sold out

Coach Visit | Northampton & Brixworth

Jon Harris, art and architectural historian, will be the guide for the day.

Travel by coach from Cambridge with a stop en route at Thrapston Services for those who live west of Cambridge. In Northampton visit: All Saints Church, magnificently rebuilt under the management of Kings Lynn architect Henry Bell after burning down in 1675; the neo-gothic Guildhall, designed by EW Godwin; and the jewel-like 78 Derngate, the only house in England entirely internally designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and now meticulously restored.

Lunch will be in Northampton and the day will finish with a visit to Brixworth church, one of England’s finest Anglo-Saxon churches.

Coach times: 8am leave Madingley Road P&R or 8.50am from Thrapston Services. Return to Cambridge about 6.30pm via Thrapston
