Kinblethmont - sold out

Lecture | Address on booking

Wednesday 12 April 2017 - 12:30 until 15:30

Robert and Penny Ramsay will be hosts a lunch. Afterwards, move into the drawing room where Robert will talk about the joys and responsibilities of growing up on, and finally inheriting, a large estate and the challenges of bringing it into the 21st century. One of these many responsibilities is to produce a son and heir despite the curse resulting from a feud between the Carnegies and Lindsays which decreed that that no male child would be born at Kinblethmont. Having produced three girls Robert's mother decided that perhaps she had better move into Arbroath until she had fulfilled her duty and produced a boy. Robert will, no-doubt, have many other entertaining stories about his ancestors.

This event has been organised by the Angus Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
