Middle Temple and Two Temple Place - extra date

Visit | Middle Temple Hall

Wednesday 5 April 2017 - 11:00 until 15:00

In 1608, James I granted the land and buildings of the Temple to two of England’s four ancient societies of lawyers, the Inns of Court. Guests will have a privately guided tour of Middle Temple, including the private Bench apartments. Lunch will be served in the Great Hall, probably the finest of the surviving Elizabethan halls, completed in 1570.

Afterwards, there will be a short walk to 2 Temple Place, the magnificent neo-Gothic mansion built by William Waldorf Astor on the Victoria Embankment, for a brief introduction and viewing of the exhibition ‘Sussex Modernism’.

If you have dietary requirements, please let us know when booking.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
