Private visit to Lady Lever Art Gallery

Sandra Penketh, Director of Art Galleries at National Museums Liverpool, will describe the recent major restoration to the South End Galleries of the Lady Lever Art Gallery. It is considered one of the finest in Europe, with outstanding examples of Wedgwood Jasperware, Chinese ceramics, furniture, paintings and sculpture.

After lunch, Senior Curator Alysson Pollard will look at pieces in the celebrated Wedgwood Collection and archivist Gavin Hunter will give an illustrated talk on the Lever family and Port Sunlight village and church.

This event has been organised by the Shropshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
