Magnificent Jewels - creating a collection

Lecture | The Gallery

Tuesday 28 March 2017 - 14:00 until 17:00

Susan Rumfitt, jewellery specialist from the Antiques Road Show, will guide you through three important collections of jewellery, those of Catherine The Great, Queen Charlotte and George III and, more recently, the much talked about jewellery of Elizabeth Taylor.

Susan will provide an interesting history of jewellery design and show how politics, wealth and fashion shaped the collections.

The event will take place in Susan's Jewellery Gallery in the heart of Harrogate, with an opportunity for her to appraise an item of jewellery that you might wish to bring with you.

This event has been organised by the North Yorkshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
