Watermen's Hall, London

Guided Tour | Watermen`s Hall

Monday 20 March 2017 - 10:30 until 12:00

William Blackburn’s glorious gem dating from 1780 remains the only original Georgian Hall in the City of London. It is home to the Company of Watermen and Lightermen, a working guild since 1514, established by an Act of Parliament, actively involved with the life of the River Thames and safety of those who work on it and its users. Expertly guided by deputy Clerk, Carol Radcliffe to include the intimate Silver room, elegant Parlour room, splendid Court room and magnificent Freemen’s room, the Company’s prestigious, long and colourful history will unfold with wonderful art works, books, boat models, costumes and memorabilia.

This event has been organised by the Oxfordshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
