Middle Temple and Two Temple Place - sold out

Visit | Middle Temple Hall

Monday 6 March 2017 - 11:00 until 15:00

In 1608, James I granted the land and buildings of the Temple to two of England’s four ancient societies of lawyers, the Inns of Court. Guests will have a privately guided tour of Middle Temple, visiting the private Bench apartments and Hall. Then enjoy a three course set lunch in the Great Hall, probably the finest of the surviving Elizabethan halls, completed in 1570. Afterwards, we walk down the lane to 2 Temple Place, the magnificent neo-Gothic mansion built by William Waldorf Astor on the Victoria Embankment, for a brief introduction to the temporary exhibition Sussex Modernism, which may then be viewed at leisure.

If you have dietary requirements, please inform the organiser when booking.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
