Twentieth century paintings from the Maisonneuve bequest at Churchill College

After coffee in the Fellows’ Senior Combination Room, Barry Phipps, Fellow of the college and Curator of Works of Art will outline the variety of art in the college and introduce the Maisonneuve bequest. This comprises 46 paintings, seven pieces of sculpture and a collection of bound books of prints by young French painters and sculptors, mostly working in Paris during the early part of the 20th century. It will be displayed in several private rooms including the Fellows’ Dining Room and the Cockcroft Room, followed by further highlights from the college art collection.
This event has been organised by the Cambridgeshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
