The Garrick Club - sold out

Visit | Garrick Club

Thursday 16 February 2017 - 10:00 until 12:00

After it was founded in 1831 by a group of literary gentlemen and named after the actor David Garrick, the Garrick Club attracted writers, musicians, peers of the realm, publishers and, of course, actors. This pattern has continued to the present day with its membership encompassing many of this country’s most distinguished actors and men of letters. The Club’s large and varied art collection of prints and theatrical memorabilia has been built up since the Club’s inception by gifts, bequests and commissions. This tour of the Club rooms and library will allow you to explore a small proportion of its riches.

Please note: steps to entrance.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
