The careful acquisition means that the collection contains a representative selection of many major figures including John, Bell, Wadsworth, Nash, Nicholson, Spencer and Hockney. There are also important sculptural works including Epstein, Moore, Dobson and Hepworth. The diversity of movements ranges from Camden Town to Pop Art.
