Devon and Exeter Institution - Sold out

Guided Tour | Devon and Exeter Institution

Thursday 1 December 2016 - 11:30 until 14:00

Founded in 1813, the Institution continues with its first aims to promote science, literature and art for the County of Devon and City of Exeter. Today its members enjoy access to 40,000 volumes in the calm and comfort of the Grade II* Listed building. Formerly the town house of the Courtenay family, parts of the Tudor house remain at the rear.

The tour with a guide includes the Library and Courtenay Room and opportunities to view highlights of the Institution’s books and paintings, followed by a buffet lunch with wine in the Reading Room.

This event has been organised by the Devon Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
