Talk and Tour | The Whitworth

By coach leaving from Crooklands Inn at 9.30am. Those coming from the north of the county might consider car share.

On arrival at The Whitworth there will be a talk by Francis Pritchard on the Revolutionary Textiles 1910-1939 followed by a guided tour of the gallery. After lunch in the Cafe in the Trees, enter a study room where a guide will show paintings by Turner, Rembrandt and Düer from the archives. In the stunning Chetham's Library the group will also have a guided tour and be shown historical documents from the early part of the Industrial Revolution.

This event has been organised by the Cumbria Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
