Fan Museum and afternoon tea

Visit | Fan Museum

Monday 10 October 2016 - 14:00 until 16:00

The Fan Museum is a small gem located in two adjoining Georgian houses in Greenwich. It houses a world-renowned collection of fans and fan leaves, including the splendid Helene Alexander Collection, with other gifts, bequests and acquistions accumulated since it opened 20 years ago. There are examples of fans from all over the world, some even dating from as early as the 12th century, though the collection is particularly strong on pieces from 18th and 19th Europe. This visit will be guided by director and founder Helene Alexander, as well as the museum’s curator. The tour be followed by a cream tea in the exquisite Orangery.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
