Alfred de Pass - Art donor and philanthropist

Lecture | Epiphany House

Monday 10 October 2016 - 14:00 until 16:00

A new lecture by Catherine Wallace.

The Art Collector and philanthropist Alfred De Pass 1861 - 1952 was a South African businessman who made Falmouth his home and is the subject of Catherine's latest research.

As a former curator of Falmouth Art Gallery and as a freelance curator since 2001 on special projects at the Royal Cornwall Museum and Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery, Catherine has worked with the De Pass collections in these institutions and shares her knowledge of them, as well as the life of Alfred De Pass, whose extraordinary generosity to galleries all over the country she will reveal in this special lecture, which you will surely feel privileged to be the first to hear.

This event has been organised by the Cornwall Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
