The Travellers Club, 106 Pall Mall

Tour | The Travellers Club

Saturday 8 October 2016 - 10:30 until 12:30

The oldest of the Pall Mall clubs, The Travellers Club was founded by Lord Castlereagh and the Duke of Wellington. The Club excluded from membership 'anyone who has not travelled out of the British Islands to a distance of at least 500 miles from London in a direct line'. Modelled on the Palazzo Pandolfini in Florence, the building was designed by Sir Charles Barry.

The two hour tour covers the history of the club and its architecture and art collection.

This event has been organised by the Hampshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
