Arnolfini - Daphne Wright: Emotional Archaeology exhibition

Guided Tour | Arnolfini

Wednesday 5 October 2016 - 18:30 until 20:30

To celebrate the Arnolfini being shortlisted for Art Fund Museum of the Year 2016, the committee have organised a very special evening event. The evening will start with a short talk about Arnolfini’s history and why it has been shortlisted. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers. There will then be an introduction to the current Daphne Wright exhibition, a sculptor based in Bristol, followed by a bespoke guided tour of the exhibition in small groups. Daphne Wright uses a wide range of materials- plaster, tin foil, video, printmaking, found objects and performance - she creates worlds that are beautiful and rather eerie which feel like the threshold to somewhere new.

The venue is fully accessible and the Arnolfini bar is open to buy refreshments.

This event has been organised by the Bristol and Bath Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
