Noble prospects - the works of Capability Brown and Kate Whiteford

A double bill at the Mercer Art Gallery in Harrogate where the Curator, Jane Sellars will welcome the group at a celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great English landscape designer, Capability Brown. In conjunction with this exhibition, you will be brought right up to date by the work of the artist Kate Whiteford, whose large-scale drawings with prints are on display. Kate is well recognised for Sitelines (After Chippendale) ​on the landscape at Harewood in 2000, in conjunction with the then exhibition at the house.

Jane will talk on these two distinctive contributors to the 18th and 21st century art scene.

This event has been organised by the West Yorkshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
