Visit to Mapperton House and a private collection - SOLD OUT

Visit | Mapperton House

Monday 18 July 2016 - 10:45 until 16:00

Mapperton House is one of England's finest manor houses, seat of the Earl of Sandwich and built in 1540, enclosed by 17th century stables and wonderful gardens. The interior and contents are of great interest: Tudor fireplaces, Jacobean furniture and much else. In the afternoon, visit a former 17th century rectory nearby, a complete surprise - a cool modern interior housing a very fine collection of British and American 20th and 21st century abstract art.

Please note you will need your own transport. Lunch is not included. A picnic or pub lunch are recommended.

This event has been organised by the Dorset Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
