Brompton Cemetery

Tour | Brompton Cemetery

Wednesday 13 July 2016 - 11:30 until 14:00

Brompton Cemetery was consecrated in 1840 and remains one of the oldest and most distinguished cemeteries operating today. Its 39 acres are the final resting place for suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst, pugilist Gentleman John Jackson and cricket champion John Wisden. With the Grade II listed chapel at its heart, thousands of monuments above ground and a network of catacombs below, there is a wealth of history to discover. The visit comprises a tour of the cemetery.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
