Talk by James Alexander-Sinclair and tour at Borde Hill Garden

Talk and Tour | Bored Hill Garden

Thursday 23 June 2016 - 13:30 until 16:30

Borde Hill is a stunningly beautiful and botanically rich heritage garden, set within over 200 acres of traditional parkland. It captivates and delights visitors with a series of intimate living garden rooms, fine woodland, parkland, lakes and outstanding views across Sussex High Weald. Located to the North West of Haywards Heath.

This full afternoon will start at 2pm with a tour of some of the rooms of the Elizabethan house that is still lived by the owners. Followed by a talk by James Alexander-Sinclair, the award winning writer, frequent broadcaster, garden designer and compelling speaker in the rose garden at 2.30pm. He will talk about the history of Jay Robin's Rose Garden and it's 450 David Austin roses most of which we hope will be in bloom. Then enjoy a nice glass of wine and canapes. You will be then be able to enjoy an informal walk around the garden to look at the 70 pieces of garden sculpture and the many wonderful species of trees, shrubs and colourful planting.

This event has been organised by the Sussex Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
