Curator led tour - Francis Bacon: Invisible Rooms
Guided Tour | Tate Liverpool
Saturday 11 June 2016 - 10:00 until 12:00
The exhibition Francis Bacon: Invisible Rooms will address some of Bacon’s most powerful works with a renewed focus on their spatial structure and will feature around 35 large scale paintings as well as works on paper. In the 1930s, Bacon introduced a technique using a barely visible cube or elliptic cage around the figure depicted to create his dramatic compositions.
Alongside this exhibition, Tate Liverpool will present the first ever UK survey exhibition of Austrian artist Maria Lassnig, and an exhibition of Ella Kruglyanskaya revealing new works from this emerging artist.
This event has been organised by the Cheshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
