Sir Duncan Rice Library, Universityof Aberdeen

Visit and Talk | University of Aberdeen

Tuesday 7 June 2016

The Sir Duncan Rice Library is worth a visit for the architecture alone. There will be a brief talk about the building and then a chance to visit an exhibition on Charles Dickens, see some of the rare books in the special collections dept, and have a look at the conservation dept and special temperature controlled stores. After lunch, visit Grandhome House, a Category B, harled and corbie stepped listed mansion on the E-plan, with wonderful gardens where the azaleas and rhododendrons should be at their best.

This event has been organised by the Angus Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
