Tour | Southwark Cathedral

Tuesday 7 June 2016 - 11:00 until 12:30

Commemorate the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death with an informative tour of Southwark Cathedral and the Bankside area. It encompasses the site of the original Globe Theatre (for which he wrote many plays), the Rose Playhouse (Bankside’s oldest theatre) and the replica Globe where Shakespeare’s works have been performed for almost a decade. The return journey includes some of the other streets he trod and the ruins of a medieval palace.

Meet in Millennium courtyard, next to Mudlark Pub.
