Following recent years’ successes, the Art Fund Essex committee have arranged another walk guided by East London historian, Derek Morris. The walk will take place around Shadwell, London’s 'Sailor town' in the 18th century. The route will include a visit to St Paul’s, one of the few Puritan churches built in London during the Commonwealth, with connections to Captain James Cook. The walk concludes at the historic Prospect of Whitby riverside tavern with views over the Thames.
Please note lunch is not included.
You will need to indicate your preferred date when booking.
