Turn End House and Garden, Haddenham - SOLD OUT

Private View | Turn End

Friday 29 April 2016 - 14:30

This is a unique opportunity to visit the private house and garden of Peter Aldington OBE. Peter designed and built three houses in the 1960s, along with the garden which feels very much part of his house. The house is one of only 12 post war houses to be listed Grade II. In less than an acre, space is used to create an illusion of size. A house courtyard with a naturalised pool, a small woodland area around 100 year old apple trees, a curved glade leading to a series of garden rooms – sunken & raised, sunny or shaded, geometric or informal – all combine to create a perfect harmony. Peter will be there to show the group around his house, along with the gardener, Jackie Hunt.

This event has been organised by the Oxfordshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
