Day vist to Wedgwood Museum and Potteries Museum and Art Gallery

Coach Visit | Wedgwood Museum and the Potterie Museum and Art Gallery

Wednesday 23 March 2016 - 08:45 until 18:30

Following the Art Fund’s success in securing the futures of the Wedgwood Collection and the Minton Archive, the Worcestershire Committee have arranged privileged visits to both museums, including curator-led introductions and guided tours of their unrivalled collections.

The Wedgwood Museum traces 250 years of England’s cultural and industrial history through ceramics. The visit will include the prize-winning galleries and access to the archives, handling sessions and optional factory tours.

After a short drive to the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, their curator will give a special talk on the Minton Archive and collections of Staffordshire and salt glazed stone-wares, studio pottery and outstanding ceramics produced by many of the legendary factories from this region.

Lunch is not included and choices nearby include the Wedgwood tearoom or café.

Coach collects from and returns to Croft Rd Car Park in Worcester.

This event has been organised by the Worcestershire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
