Vintners' Hall - SOLD OUT

Visit | Vintners Hall

Friday 18 March 2016 - 11:00 until 12:30

The Vintners’ Company is one of the Great Twelve Livery companies of the City of London. It was granted its first Charter in 1363 and celebrated its 650th anniversary in 2013. Its origins are steeped in the history of the City through its role in the import, regulation and sale of wine. The company’s ownership of swans – shared with the Crown and the Dyers’ Company – is also well known. The original building was destroyed during the Great Fire of London, but was replaced during the 1670s by the building on Upper Thames Street (with a few alterations along the way), which will be explored during this visit.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
