Tour by coach of the London Hawksmoor churches

Guided Tour | St. Mary Woolnoth Church

Thursday 17 March 2016 - 10:30 until 16:00

A limited wonderful guided tour by coach of the Hawksmoor churches in London.

The extraordinary churches designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor for London in the early 18th century are now recognised as amongst the finest products of English baroque. The architectural historian Roger White has agreed to lead a tour of five of these churches. Roger White has curated exhibitions on both Hawksmoor and the Baroque and has a wealth of experience in this field. A coach has been arranged to take everyone between the churches making this a special opportunity to view them all in a relaxed way.

The ticket price includes all donations, coach transport around London and a two course lunch in the acclaimed The English Restaurant in Spitalfields Market.

The tour begins at Mary Woolnoth in the city (very close to Bank tube station) at 10.30am and concludes at St George's, Bloomsbury at 4pm.

This event has been organised by the Sussex Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
