Matisse: Master of Colour, by Eveline Eaton - SOLD OUT
Talk | The Wallace Collection
Thursday 25 February 2016 - 14:30 until 15:30
Henri Matisse dreamt of an ‘art of balance, purity and serenity’ and succeeded in bringing infinite joy to the viewer as no other 20th-century master could, above all through his use of radiant colour and exactitude of line. This talk by Eveline Eaton will follow Matisse’s career as a painter, draughtsman and sculptor from subdued beginnings, through exuberant Fauvist experiments, to triumphant conclusions in the late cutouts and the Chapelle du Rosaire de Vence.
This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
