Talk and Tour | Gorringes of Lewes

Gorringes has been in Lewes since 1920 and was voted the Best Provincial Auction Rooms in 2002. They hold specialist Fine Art and Antiques auctions every seven weeks, which typically include over 2,500 Lots worth between £100 and £200,000.

This visit is just ahead of the auction due to take place on 9 December. The group will be given a tour of the auction rooms by a senior partner in the company, Clifford Lansbury, looking at specific items in the auction, how they are assessed and valued, the research and experts opinion of current trends, all effect bidding which is both live and electronic.

This event has been organised by the Sussex Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
