Shapero Rare Books is a renowned dealer in antiquarian books and works on paper. Its particular expertise lies in illustrated books from the 15th to the 20th century, focusing on natural history, travel, guidebooks and Russian works. It also has a gallery exhibiting contemporary prints complementing topical themes in its collection.

The visit begins with a reception in the gallery and a unique opportunity to hear the owner, Bernard Shapero, speak on a life spent in the world of beautiful rare books. This is followed by an exclusive exhibition of illustrated books from the shelves.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
