Warner Textile Archive- Braintree

Guided Tour | Warner Textile Archive

Tuesday 3 November 2015 - 10:30 until 12:00

Located in Warner & Sons original Grade II listed textile mill, the Warner Textile Archive was acquired with support from the Art Fund 10 years ago. It is comprised of 60,000 textiles, 10,000 paper designs and other items which together document 500 years of design history. The permanent gallery showcases the treasures of the collection, including silks woven for royal coronations. Temporary displays offer a view of the past and provide inspiration for designers of the future. Our private guided tour of the collection will have a special focus on royal themes.

This event has been organised by the Essex Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
