Book sale

Special Event | Auchleish

Friday 30 October 2015 - 12:00 until 15:00

Research has shown that people remember far more by reading from the printed page rather than a digital version. This is because the look and feel of the paper, and the way the text is displayed on it, encourages people to use their deep reading skills which are good exercise for the brain.

Now that you are aware of this fact you will be able to tell yourself that buying lots of books, which of course you will then read, is good for your brain and therefore vitally necessary rather than just pure indulgence. Even if you are wedded to your Kindle you can still stimulate your brain with scintillating conversation over lunch and your tastebuds as there will be our usual fantastic selection of cheeses for you to try.

We would be grateful for any books you can bear to part with and will be happy to come and collect them. If we have them before the sale we can display them to their best advantage which increases their chance of being sold.

This event has been organised by the Angus Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
