Royal Automobile Club Pall Mall SOLD OUT
Visit | The Royal Automobile Club
Monday 26 October 2015 - 11:00 until 12:30
The spiritual and historical home of motoring in the UK was founded in 1897, adopting the ‘Royal’ title in 1907 due to Edward VII’s interest in motoring. That year the Old War Office in Pall Mall was also acquired and the architects were commissioned to create a purpose-built club, combining scientific innovation with an opulent interior, described by Vanity Fair as being ‘on a scale of grandeur absolutely unparalleled anywhere’. Today, the legacy of early motoring pioneers lives on through the club’s activities and collections.
Please note this visit is limited to 15 participants. The Club dress code is smart casual, with jackets and ties for men.
This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
