Tuesday 6 October 2015 - 11:30 until 15:15
The General Cemetery of All Souls, one of England’s oldest and most prestigious burial grounds, was consecrated by the Church of England in 1833. It rapidly became the resting place for aristocrats, writers, artists and scientists. The funerary monuments represent almost every taste, fashion and architectural design. All of this will be explored in guided groups followed by lunch at the Dock Kitchen restaurant. This tour is not recommended for wheelchairs or people with walking difficulties.
Includes a set lunch; this will offer a main course choice of one meat or one vegetarian dish followed by a choice of two desserts, and a glass of wine.
This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
